Our St John community is super small, and lucky for us, full of awesome dining, drinking, and recreational options.  Here are a few of our favorites:

The Tap Room –

Located in Mongoose Junction, this is the home of St John Brewers (our local craft brewers), and it’s a really cool spot – literally.  Their A/C is much coveted in the summer months, and just as refreshing all year long after a day at the beach.  Not to mention their excellent selection of draft beers (13 lines, the most in the Caribbean) and homemade sodas (we recommend the root beer, with Cruzan rum).  The bar also offers free wi-fi, in case you need to skype your family to remind them how cool your vacation is or, heaven forbid, work!  Check them out at

Ocean Grill –

Another of our Mongoose Junction neighbors, Ocean Grill serves up delicious lunches and dinners.  Their menu is rooted in California cuisine, with a Caribbean flair.  We especially love their desserts, all made in house – they are definitely the best on the island!  Learn more about this restaurant at

Motu Bar –

A recent addition to Cruz Bay’s nightlife, Motu Bar is located next to Grand Bay Resort, near Wharfside Village.  Featuring an excellent sunset view and even more excellent cocktails, it’s become one of our favorite hangouts.  Check out Motu Bar on Facebook.

Stay tuned for more update on our favorite places!
